Solution
In a few days, a new ultra-modern system consisting of a headquarters-based TS-h1283XU-RP NAS and two other NAS based in their museum was installed. While the TS-h1283XU-RP NAS acts as the main center for their data and is always on, the other two NAS perform real-time backup for selected documents and scheduled backup for other files. A QSW-IM1200-8C 10 Gigabit Ethernet switch was installed in both sites to boost the system’s bandwidth potential.

“Leonardo3 sets up exhibitions all over the world, and thanks to the QNAP system we have installed, we now can remotely access any files stored on the QNAP NAS at our laboratory extremely quickly. To date, we have never had any operational blockages on our business and this new installation is extremely beneficial for our approach to the market. It has projected us a very exciting future since we are able to have more data available and can count on redundancy, security, and fast data accessibility. Last but not the least, we are also very satisfied from a money value point of view” concluded Lisa Massimiliano, CEO and Co-founder of Leonardo3.
In terms of energy saving and system functionality optimization, the auto-detect function of the switches enables the main QNAP NAS to detect the network load in real time and transfer data proportional to the amount of available bandwidth to the backup NAS by guaranteeing maximum operability for Leonardo3.
